IW's Re-Flex cables were designed to offer an alternative to standard semi-rigid cables. The unique design of these cables features a laminated PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) dielectric, a dual tin alloy foil shield, and a tightly woven copper braid giving it the same leakage characteristics of semi-rigid cables. IW's Re-Flex cables have the same mechanical dimensions of their semi-rigid counterparts. This allows them to be terminated with "standard" commercially available semi-rigid connectors.
The best feature about Re-Flex cable is that it can be easily formed into position by hand and then be reformed without electrical or mechanical degradation. It can do this all while maintaining the same superior performance characteristics of semi-rigid (solid copper jacketed) cable giving the user more flexibility during install.
You will find many versions of semi-flexible semi-rigid alternatives on the market today. But only IW uses a unique "non-solder coated" design that won't fracture under vibration and stress. And, IW's Re-Flex connectors virtually eliminate the problem of the connectors breaking free from the cable (as seen in other semi-flexible semi-rigid connector alternatives) under such adverse conditions. This is accomplished using a proprietary assembly technique that moves the connector-to-cable termination point away from the back end of the connector housing.
We believe our Re-Flex line to be the best semi-flexible semi-rigid alternative available on the market today in balancing durability, price and easy of use. But, don't just take our word for it, request a Re-Flex cable sample or assembly sample (with SMA plug connectors) and judge for yourself!
IW stocks Re-Flex cable assemblies with SMA straight plug connectors in lengths from 2 to 18 inches. They are generally shipped within 24 hours. Here is IW current Re-Flex assembly stock at the factory:
